Live Reporting - Baadshah Gaming Live Tournament December 2017 - 30K Main Event

The plan was to make minimal mistakes and not spew – Aditya Sushant, Baadshah Gaming Live Champion

    Time: 23:15:00
    Blinds: 3000/6000
    Ante: 400
    Level: 17

Well, unless you are living under a rock, you know who Aditya Sushant is. It all started with a desire and an aspiration to become a poker pro but much more was in store for Chennai’s poker phenom Sushant.

Sushant was among PokerGuru’s earliest team pros and getting staked and mentored by India’s pioneering poker pro Aditya ‘intervention’ Agarwal paid him well in the long run. Sushant created history by becoming the 1st Indian to win the WSOP bracelet this year and his exploits include several live and online titles along the way headlined by another big achievement - chopping the PokerStars Sunday Million.

Sushant was a busy man on the final table today and it was not just the live action.  Sushant was multi-tasking by playing online the same time he was posing for winner pictures; the high value tournaments on offer on homegrown sites has escalated the action to the next level and is a major reason for the dip in interest for live tournaments.

Sushant now goes back to his hotel room to hopefully repeat tonight`s performance on some big online tournaments, having banked a cool ₹7,65,000 for his efforts over the last 2 days!

In the post-win interview, the champion said, “The strategy was simple, make minimal mistakes and don’t spew. I caught up just a couple of hours of sleep and was wondering how it will play down today. I wanted to give it my best.”

When asked about how he feels about claiming another title Sushant said, “Feels very good, this is my first trophy at Casino Pride and it feels good to play here after so long. Maddy’s Main Event was superb and I really enjoyed the heads-up battle with Palod.”

PokerGuru would like to congratulate Sushant and all other who made it in the money. Well, that’s it from our side, keep following PokerGuru for all updates about happenings in the world of poker. Till next time folks!

Anup Palod finishes runners up in the ₹30K Main Event (₹6,75,000)

    Time: 22:22:00
    Blinds: 3000/6000
    Ante: 400
    Level: 17

The heads-up play lasted relatively shorter than we expected and in no time, Aditya Sushant had his hands on the trophy. The final hand of the event saw Sushant opening the button for 13,000 and Anup Palod calls. On the flop card icon 3 card icon 2 card icon 4, Palod checks, Sushant leads out for 10,000, Palod 3-bets it to 30,000 and Sushant calls. The dealer burns and turns the card icon 1. Palod bets 47,000 and Sushant calls. The river card icon 1 completes the board and Palod gets it in for 75,000 holding card icon 2card icon 4. Sushant tanks a bit and finally calls tabling card icon 3card icon 4 for two pair and ships the event! Palod receives the decided ₹6,75,000 for his runner-up finish.

Speaking to PokerGuru, Palod said, “It’s a great feeling having made back-to-back deep runs, first with WPT India Deepstacks, then WPT India Main Event and now Baadshah Gaming Live Main Event. When the play was down to 15 players, me and Sushi (Aditya Sushant) were speaking about how this would be our first final table together, in my mind, I knew it was going to be heads-up between both of us and that’s exactly what happened.”

Palod also shared his overall experience with us, “It was very nice, I loved the structure and the hospitality. It was great to see PokerGuru back in action with their live reporting. The benchmark for live reporting has been set up by them and its good to see they are right there on top.”

Well, all we can say is that it’s great for the poker community that this stable operator has won big money here today - hopefully will be motivated enough to stake a few more players now!
