Ilari Sahamies up $1.2 million, Isildur1 grinding at low stakes!

The first two weeks have played out at PokerStars and there is one name which stands head and shoulders above all others, the mighty Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies has been on an absolute tear over the past couple of months and since the start of September has won a staggering $1.2 million, coming top of the daily leaderboard on five separate occasions.

He started the month well with a $300k win on September 1st and looked to be unstoppable as he added a further $300k on the fifth before dropping $250k the following day. The real action however started at the end of the first week of September when socutiesf started running over the table at $100/$200 PLO at PokerStars only to see his stacks eroded by Ilari as they session wore on. Seemingly tilted socutiesf then opened some deep stacked $200/$400 table and we saw the sickest action since Full Tilts operations were closed down following Black Friday. The sessions were packed with 6 figure pots and the biggest pots PokerStars has ever seen with this $421k pot won by Sahamies as the largest of them all.

The net result of these sessions were some big wins for both Sahamies ($500k) and Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond ($370k) with socutiesf managing to still keep a decent six figure win for the day. The big loser from these sessions, surprisingly, was the usually consistently successful Skjervøy who dropped over $600k.

The second week of September has seen more of the same from Sahamies bringing home the biggest winning day of the week ($228k on 9th September) and once again toppping the leaderboard yesterday with a nice $173k win - including a $40k win at the $200/$400 tables which once again saw a little action (although nothing like the action from a week ago)

As Sahamies racked up a cool $1.2 million, last months biggest winner has so far been this months biggest loser as Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is currently $635k down despite not even involving himself in the big $200/$400 games. Blom has been spotted playing $5/$10, $3/6, $2/4 and even and low as $1/2 over the past week - perhaps to prove to himself that if his bad run continues he can always grind away a living at low stakes!!

    Biggest loser

Due to his mega loss at the big $200/$400 games Skjervøy joins Isildur as a big loser so far in September down $463k .Othe than Ilari FIN, socutiesf has also had an extremely impressive month so far being near the top of the daily leaderboard on numerous occasions and is currently sitting on over a $600k profit for September with Benjamin "Ben86" Tollerene and Rafi "refaelamit" Amit both closing in on 1/2 million profits this month.

    Biggest winner

Can Ilari keep his winnings in tact this month after a flying start? Or will we see a repeat of last months drama as he went nearly $1.6 million up in August only to drop a cool million in the last week to Isildur. Only time will tell.

How Long Would A $1mil Deposit Take For Isildur, I was wondering, do you think isildur is in the prosess of depositing his $1mil roll(could take weeks, why he may not be playing) to have an crazy rematch vs illari cause that would be sick!

i feel at this level all these guys are staked.

take for eg: isildur, say he has 500K across the tables, hardly 200K would be his, another 200K pokerstars would stake him, he is their only pro player who plays high stakes frequently and that attracts more action/traffic to their site and another 100K may be shared by 5-X no. of players who would be happy to see him turn a profit after a session, if not no problem, that amount of cash would be pocket change for players/businessmen at that level.
