    Magic flop facing a shove

    Hand from ipc 10k
    early in tournament blinds 25/50, starting stack 8500 i have about 7800
    Ep limps, utg1 limps i have AKc i make it 225, uncle next to me makes it 450, Maurice calls from button folded to me i call.

    flop QcTc5s, i check, uncle checks and Maurice shoves 8k, action ?

    It looks like he is protecting a medium-strong hand like QT, KK, AA (even 55) on a wet board or a shoving with a monster draw like Jc9c
    Even though its difficult to imagine that someone would shove with a set on the flop. We can still take it in our range with 25% probability.
    Also, is there a possibility that he slow played his kings, aces pre-flop and now shoved in hope of getting a call from top pair!?!?

    Against a range of KK+,QT,TT(25%),55(25%),Jc9c,8c9c- you have 50% equity. Guess, mathematically you can call!!

    Look out for the physical tells though in such a situation(how much he tanked before shoving, is he fidgety etc etc)...That's the advantage you get in live poker!! Most of the time, when someone is all-in such a scenario, body language can reveal a lot about how strong or weak they are...

    1. u have to bet on the flop..
    2. when maurice shoves .. give up.. pots too small.. (and mr.allin has "no" range.. )

    pot is small, and u have enough chips to play, y u should gamble this time, better to fold.
