Very easy shove!! Almost 50% of your stack is already in the pot and your hand is miles ahead of their ranges.

i hate this huge opens man, i would usually shove here but m worried about the huge open otherwise i would 3bet like 90ish and get it in HU against the utg opener.

jam.. 3x 4x opens usually show up AK/AQ and low PP.. you are ahead of opener's range here imo .. you have good fe as well..

50% of his stack?? Initial raiser has 24bb, Hero has 40bb and the 2 callers have us covered. Hero on BTN with no money in pot. Raise is 4.5x and FLATTED in 2 spots. How is this an easy shove then?

    Hi Bhalla,

I overstated it a little, but what I meant to say is the amount in pot is almost 40% of his stack and in addition I think we are ahead of their ranges. There is already 15.5 BB in the pot. Additionally, in a tournament like the Big 5, there is no particular reason to attach too much significance to the size of the open. I get that some people do it because they are scared to play with AA/KK and others the same thing with 33/44, yet others are just very spazzy and do this with all hands...but without reads I wouldn't attach too much significance to it.

To my mind flatting doesn't show exceptional strength either the way it might in a higher buy-in field. In any case, even if you assign these guys very strong ranges, we have TT and there is so much money in the pot, even if they have very tight ranges half of those ranges we are flipping with, not to mention they can fold, add in the possibility of weak hands in their range/calling and I simply can't see how either folding or calling could ever bet better.

Edit: The initial raiser is the guy most likely to call, and he has only 24 BB as opposed to the 15.5 already in the pot. In essence, the enormous overlay here makes it very difficult for me to think of anything but a shove, especially with such a strong hand.

I think Bhalla misinterpreted ur earlier post Prabhat. Imo shoving here>>calling>>folding. I don't mind 3b getting it in either cause it gives some room for spazz out factor.
