The third event of PGT Season 2 is over and it was Goa based Husain Lakdawala who walked away with the top honors by winning the 25K Main Event, and cemented his position on the top of the PGT Season 2 Leaderboard*. The race for the PGT Season 2 - INR 12 Lacs ‘Player of the Year’ Leaderboard continues with the fourth event which is slated to be held from July 26-29 onboard the floating Casino Royale in Panjim (Goa).

PGT July edition like all previous PGT events will once again be completely rake free with PokerGuru giving out at least 100 percent payouts for all events along with silver trophies to all winners and a special prize to the High Roller Champion!

PGT July edition made a successful return to Casino Royale (Goa) with 87 runners climbing onboard the floating casino in Panjim to join the poker extravaganza. The tournament saw the biggest turnouts in months at the Royale card room with the entire final table getting paid.

After more than nine hours of high-octane Texas Holdem action, it was Kavish Kukreja who won the tournament, cashing in INR 150,000.

Yesterday's final table started out with Team Mentor Rohit Bhalla in the lead, followed closely by Shaffaf Zainuddeen and Jober Fernandes:

PGT 5K Freeze-out Final Table

With blinds of 1500/3000 and an ante of 300 it was inevitable for Santanu Sahu to go all-in, as he did with the luckily found , but was up against Rohit's and could not improve. Santanu took home INR 10,000 for his efforts. The next elimination fell at the hands off Kavish, who ended the tournament life of Kartik Bhatia with vs in a pre-flop all-in showdown.

After 20 minutes of play the situation on the final table had changed drastically which saw the once chip leader Rohit Bhalla's tournament life at risk when he reshoved and got called by Jober from under the gun position.

The board opens , Jober takes down the pot eliminating team mentor Rohit Bhalla in 7th place. In the very next hand, short stacked Rajesh Goyal gets busted from the tounament by Zainuddeen.

Fifth place goes to Varad Patil, who announces all-in on the flop of , and gets a caller in Jober Fernandes.

The turn card opens the and the river card the . Varad finishes the tournament in 5th place going home INR 28,000 richer.

With the play down to four handed and relative larger stacks, we see more flop and turn play but no all-ins. After an hour of small ball poker the blind pressure caught up with Jober who had to shove all-in with a 30k stack in the 4k/8k/1k level. He shoved from the small blind with and got called in the big blind by Zainuddeen holding , and no improvement for Jober sent him home with a payday of INR 40,000.

The next to be railed is Karan Talwar who gets knocked out in 3rd place when he moves all-in for 21,000 in chips and gets called by both Shaffaf and Kavish. The flop came and both players check, the turn card completes the club flush upon which Shaffaf bets out and Kavish immediately mucks. The river is the and Karan opens for high card – Ace high, which cannot beat Shaffaf's club flush with .

The heads-up battle between Kavish Kukreja and Shaffaf Zainuddeen lasted a little less than half an hour. The final hand of the tournament has Kavish announcing all-in from the button and Shaffaf making the call in the big blind. Kavish tables while Zainuddeen shows .

The flop opens , the turn a , meaning Shaffaf had only an Ace in his list of outs, but the opens on the river and Kavish takes down the pot, and the PGT title!

Kavish takes home the top prize of INR 150,000 and Shaffaf gets INR 100,000 for his 2nd place finish.

The second event of the PokerGuru Tour July edition saw 64 entrants putting up INR 12,000, of which 10,000 went into the prize pool and 2k was reserved as the bounty per player elimination. The featured prizepool guarantee of INR 3 Lacs was crushed once again and as event 1, saw the entire final table getting paid.

The tournament started with each player having 7,500 chips and the blind levels were going up every 30 minutes. After 8 hours of Texas Hold'em tournament action it was Team PokerGuru pro Sangeeth ‘Samoh’ Mohan who came out on top and took home INR 2,50,000 for his first place finish, besting previous PGT main event finalist Abbas Ali in the heads-up battle.

The short stacked Ankit Turkhud who entered the final table with just four big blinds, was the first one to exit the final table when he shipped all-in with and got called by Sangeeth Mohan who was holding .No help on the board for Ankit and he exits for a payday of INR 14,000.

Then in an interesting hand, Rajesh limps in from middle position, David Coleman on the button moves all-in for 55,000, Jasven Saigal moves all-in over the top, and Rajesh makes the call, holding . He was up against David's and Jasven's .

The board ran , giving Rajesh the main pot while David takes down the side pot, leaving Jasven crippled, who is eliminated shortly thereafter in 8th place.

In the next 45 minutes the eliminations went fast: David Coleman finishes 7th with against , Pranav Khandalkar places 6th with against . Rahul Sharma follows them out of the tournament in 5th place , losing with to on a board of and Rajesh Vallabhaneni couldn't beat with his and hits the rails in 4th place.

Down to the final three we saw the following chip counts:

Abbas Ali - 150,000 chips

Sangeeth Mohan - 55,000 chips

With the clock at 5:20 am, we witnessed the following hand: the flop opens when Jagdeep Singh announces that he's all-in. Abbas Ali goes into the tank for a while and in the end makes the call, and what a call it is!

Bangalore based Vinod KK continued his strong performance from Day 1 of the PGT main event to win the title after beating Vipun Sharma heads-up. He collected INR 6 Lacs besting a field of 63 runners to claim the top prize .

The deep-stacked tournament had a 2-day format, which saw the final nine players returning on day 2 to resume play till we had a new PGT champion!

After seven hours of play on Day 1, the following players were set to return on day 2 to play down to the winner:

All finalists were assured to take home atleast INR 35,000 but all eyes were on the top prize and the coveted PGT main event title.

Amit Varma was the first to depart from the final table, after losing a big pot when he called all-in from the big blind and Shravan Chhabria called from the button. Amit's were dominated by Shravan's and in the very next hand Amit made an all-in move with a similar hand, but ran into the of Lawrence Melwin.

Then an interesting hand happened with a lot of pre-flop action, which according to the event live coverage went as follows:

“ Madan Kumar has been raising the aggression on the final table today with several pre-flop raises going uncontested in his favor. In yet another such hand, Madan raises to 16000 from UTG, action on Shravan Chhabria who 3-bets to 41000. Madan, after thinking for a while 4-bets it to 100k. Shravan instantly folds and shows the table . "WOW!" is the general sentiment on the final table. “

Shortly thereafter Kolkata native Shawn Chatterton shoves all-in from the small blind, with the action folded to him, and gets a call from Shravan Chhabria in the big blind. Shawn `s fail to catch up against Shravan's . Shawn is eliminated in 8th place taking home INR 40,000 in prize money.

Five minutes later the 7th place finisher had been decided, when the short stacked Santanu Saha re-shoved into Lawrence Melwin's raise from the hijack, who was holding . The flop opens and no Ace or King came to Santanu`s rescue on the board.

After an hour of swingy play, Aditya Sushant is the next one to leave the final table, after getting his Kings cracked by pocket fours. In his bust-out hand, Aditya`a are beaten by Shravan's .

Shravan Chhabria hit the rails soon afterwards after losing a flip with against Madan Kumar`s . Shravan claimed the 5th place prize of INR 90,000.

Lawrence Melwin was the next one to leave the final table, after he re-shoved 143,000 into Vipun Sharma's UTG raise of 45,000.

The heads-up play between Vinod KK and Vipun Sharma lasts just one (!!) hand.
