Running deep but went card dead

I made a deep run at a micro stakes guarantee recently. When 200 players were left I was ranked 80th. Since then I went so card dead that for the next 4 orbits i didnt play a single hand. this took me to rank 109th out of 130. Finally i saw AJo utg and with a stack of 17bb i shoved. to get called off by Aces. In such a position was i too tight because when i started this folding spree i had 50 big blinds and i came down to 20 big blinds not by loosing but by the blinds moving. It was 15 minute levels so it was excruciatingly slow. I may have lost my mind but i think i was loosing equity faster. Was this shove justified!

when you were ranked 80 you should have made some move...like raising when you were in dealer position, bluffing sometimes etc.....anyways keep grinding and dont loose patients.....good luck

Well don`t like that play too much....why wait 4 orbits and then shove AJo , u were only gonna be called with better. I agree with Acehighallin that you should have picked your spots earlier to steal smaller pots rather than just risk your tournament life on a marginal hand out of position.
