WSOPC Rozvadov: Mihai Croitoru Leads Main Event Final Table; Deepak Khubchandani & Sanjay K Score

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Rozvadov €1,650 Main Event proved to be a huge success with another 49 late entries on Day 2 taking the total to 851 players. The event garnered a prize pool of €1,212,675 and the top 87 finishers will make the money. Due to the large turnout, King’s Casino even extended the event by a day to Tuesday.

The money bubble burst on Day 2 and from India, Deepak Khubchandani made a 58th place finish for €4,244, with Sanjay Kesarabhavi Shyamsunder finishing at 74th place for €3,759.

Currently the event is down to the final table of eight and will crown a champion today. All are assured a min-cash of €25,102, while the winner will take home the prized Circuit ring and €232,241 in prize money. Leading the final eight is Mihai Croitoru (cover image) with 6,925,000 in chips.

Simultaneously, Manish Goenka and Simon Mint have reached the final table of the WSOP Circuit Farewell €110 NLH event, with Goenka making an impressive ninth place finish

 

€1,650 Main Event Recap

Day 2 saw 315 survivors from the two entry flights return to the tables and 49 late entries took the total up to 851 for the event.

Han Kuo bagged 1,673,000 to become the chip leader at the end of Day 2, followed by Henning Wendlandt with 1,600,000 and Oriol Fernandez with 1,595,000 at third place.

The bubble burst Jan-Dirk Wieckenberg, who was down to just a single big blind. Forced to go all in, his eight-four failed to improve against an opponent’s pocket queens and he exited without the money.

Deepak Khubchandani, Simon Mint and Vedprakash Singh all made Day 2 through an entry on Day 1B, but only Deepak cashed at 58th place for €4,244. Sanjay Kesarabhavi entered on Day 1A and cashed on Day 2 for €3,759 at 74th place.

Manish Goenka made two valiant attempts, but failed to make Day 2 in both.

Day 3 began with 46 survivors and ended in an unofficial final table with the elimination of Marek Tatar, whose ace-eight were overpowered by Georgios Vrakas’ ace queen.

The next to go was Moussa Khanafer, busted by Ivan Banic. Banic raised to 150,000 Khanafer went all in from the big blind, for 1,265,000. Banic called.

The board sent out , pairing Banic’s queen and Khanafer was the official final table bubble and took home €19,767 to show for efforts.

After the exit of Khanafer at ninth place a final table was ready, led by Mihai Croitoru with 6,925,000.
