India finally has a bracelet and two bracelet winners! The team of Aditya ‘Donkab0mber’ Sushant and Nipun Java created history today by taking down Event 10: $1,000 Tag Team!

With the entire Indian poker community railing the action, it was a well-deserved win by the Indian duo who finished the job with ease.

The Chennai-based Aditya Sushant has had a trailblazing poker career that dates back to 2010 when a young college student hitched a ride on a bus to make it to Goa to play a poker tournament. Short on funds, he met his idol who later became his mentor – Aditya ‘intervention’ Agarwal. Agarwal staked him for the tournament and as luck would have it, Sushant went on to win the event. The rest as they say is history!

Sushant went on to become one of the first Team PokerGuru pros and has an illustrious poker resume including a runner-up finish in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $168,157 in June 2013 alongside several domestic and international wins. He later joined Adda52 as a Team Pro.

Sushant had a busy day at the series yesterday as he was deep in two events simultaneously. He opted to play the opening orbit in the Tag Team event and then went to join Day 2 in Event 12: $1,500 No Limit Hold’em. Sushant eventually finished 145th for $2,796 in that event and came back to finish the job in the Teams event.

Sushant`s teammate Nipun Java is another top poker talent and a regular at international stops. Born in Kolkata and brought up in New Delhi, Java has a Master’s degree in computer science from the Arizona State University and has won a WSOP Circuit Bicycle event in March 2014. His total career winnings are close to $2 million.

As fate would have it, it was Sushant`s former mentor Aditya Agarwal who brought these two players together to play the event as a Team! Incidentally, it was a last-minute decision for both these players to team up as Java had another teammate who dropped out at the last minute because he couldn’t wake up on time. Destiny plays its part as the duo went on to take down the $1,000 Tag Team Event for $150,637!
