Two-time Formula 1 World champion Mika Häkkinen is the latest sports star to take up a sponsorship deal with an online gambling site. The Finnish pro has been signed as the latest brand ambassador of Swedish online gaming brand Unibet.
Unibet announced the tie-up in a cool YouTube video while Häkkinen himself put up the news on his twitter handle confirming the deal -

The Finnish F1 racer, who is nicknamed as the "Flying Finn", won the Formula 1 Driver's Championship in 1998 and 1999 driving for McLaren. Häkkinen will oversee the creation of brand new exclusive advertisements and media content for Unibet’s punters. Häkkinen will also offer a closer and moxre personal insight into the world of Formula 1 racing for bettors.
Häkkinen is one of many ambassadors to join the Unibet pro roster this year. Earlier in February, in a bid to enhance its social media presence, the company signed on three well-known poker players as its brand ambassadors. Irish poker duo David Lappin and Dara ‘Doke’ O’Kearney teamed up with English champion Ian Simpson to join the roster and all of them are active on social media to offer Unibet’s players and bettors insights into their respective sports.
