PokerGuru pro Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal experienced the grind even before he sat at the poker table in the World Series of Poker (WSOP). First, he had to schlep through the long security queues at airports enroute to Las Vegas, the mecca of Texas Hold’em. Second, when he showed up completely jet-lagged at Hotel Rio’s casino, the host of the WSOP, he had to stand in a line of 150 players for over an hour to get a seat in the USD 1.5k event on June 30. He did make it to the tournament and pre-registered for Event 54 USD 1k event the next day.

Read Agarwal’s blog to know how he fared in the two events.

Rahul Raju and Abhishek Goindi are the two other players from the Indian poker circuit slated to take part in the remaining events of this year’s WSOP, registration for which ends on July 9 with the WSOP USD 10k buy-in main event. Rahul Raju will be playing only 2 events at WSOP i.e. 10k 6-Max Event 57 on July 3 and the WSOP main event and word coming in from the other Indian pro Abhishek Goindi is that his participation is tentative due to a delay in his visa interview.
