Sunday Online Railbird Report: ‘nareshratnam’, Deepak Bothra, Rahul Mittal, Aditya Sushant & Jasven Saigal Among The Big Winners

Another heavy-duty Sunday grind is well past us that saw numerous notable scores by our Indian challengers both on domestic as well as international websites. The biggest score came from India’s largest online poker site Adda52 that hosted its Adda52 Millions event. Taking top honors was “nareshratnam” (anonymity requested) who won ₹6.63 lakhs. This week’s Sunday Suits was taken down by Deepak ‘bothras’ Bothra for ₹2.70 lakhs.

Meanwhile India’s most trusted poker site – PokerBaazi, hosted its premier Sunday events with Rahul ‘pokerjoker’ Mittal winning the flagship Baazi Super Sunday (₹15 Lakhs GTD, ₹5 Lakhs for 1st) for ₹5 lakhs. Aditya ‘Gangajal’ Sushant added another title to his already impressive resume after winning the BSS (₹5 Lakhs GTD) for ₹1.19 lakhs, ‘nikithaluther’ won the BSS ₹1 Lakh GTD PLO for ₹69,920 and Vaibhav ‘durrrr1310’ Saigal shipped the BSS ₹1 Lakh GTD Turbo event for ₹42,000. PokerBaazi pro Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal was on a heater this past Sunday and made three final tables in total cashing over ₹2.14 lakhs!

At 9HighPoker, there were two prime events. The Megaton ₹50K GTD event was shipped by ‘watchingyou’ for ₹23,000 and the Scoop ₹9K GTD event was taken down by ‘anaconda’ for ₹3,690.

On PokerStars, Armaan ‘armaan007’ Kocchar scooped $3,339.36 for his 34th place in the PokerStars ‘Turbo Series 37: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max], $300K GTD’ and Raghav ‘Rossoneri23’ Bansal won $3,681.20 for finishing 3rd in the PokerStars ‘$109 Sunday Starter, $30K GTD’.

 

Adda52 Millions

It`s now a given that the Adda52 Millions event would have some of the best poker players in the circuit locked in on their screens with everyone vying for that big payday. Taking top honors this week was ‘nareshratnam’. The victor locked horns with ‘TIMA1106’ and finally prevailed to take home the ₹6.63 lakhs top prize. The event attracted a strong field of 221 entries (147 unique entries + 74 re-entries) to generate a ₹22,10,000 prize pool with the top 15 places making it in the money.

Notably, Adda52 Team pro Tarun ‘aggtarun’ Goyal made it to the final table and finished third for ₹2.87 lakhs.

This Sunday’s BSS ₹15 lakhs GTD saw a total of 131 entries with an additional 94 re-entries to create a staggering prize pool worth ₹16,87,500 with the top 13 places cashing in the event. The last player standing was Rahul ‘pokerjoker’ Mittal who received the ₹5 lakhs top prize for his performance.

Team PokerBaazi pro Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal was in thick of action and final tabled the event, collecting ₹1.68 lakhs for his fourth-place finish.

Sunday Suits – Adda52

Deepak ‘bothras’ Bothra added a Sunday Suits title to his already impressive list of poker accomplishments after topping the 277-player strong field (171 unique entries + 106 re-entries).

The event saw the total prize pool amounting to ₹10 lakhs with the top 18 spots finishing in the money and Bothra banked the lion`s share of the pie worth ₹2.70 lakhs for his victory after defeating ‘vannuvarun’ heads-up for the title.

Another popular Sunday event on PokerBaazi i.e. Baazi Super Sunday (₹5 Lakhs GTD) saw its latest edition closing out and beating the strong field was none other than WSOP bracelet winner Aditya ‘Gangajal’ Sushant. All in all, Sushant navigated through the 127-entry field (91 additional re-entries) to add ₹1.19 lakhs to his bankroll. The total prize pool of the event stood at ₹5,45,000 with the top 20 finishers finishing in the money.

The final table of the event was truly a star-studded one, with the likes of Team PokerBaazi pros Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal and Abhisek ‘AbhisekPanda’ Panda.

The BSS ₹1 lakh PLO event registered a total of 42 entrants who made an additional 50 re-entries to create a ₹1,84,000 prize pool and paid out the top six places. By the end of the game, ‘nikithaluther’ won the top prize worth ₹69,920 after defeating ‘ferin’ in the heads-up duel.

PokerBaazi pro Jasven Saigal was on a roll this past Sunday and made his third final table of the day in the PLO event. Saigal finished sixth for ₹9,200.

PokerStars $215 Sunday Million

The week’s flagship event on PokerStars i.e. $215 Sunday Million with $1 million GTD closed out another action-packed event and ended in a heads-up chop. Argentina’s ‘delfina_47′ and Hungary’s ‘Akameo’ struck a deal with the latter emerging on top to pocket $157,245 in prize money.

The event once again registered a huge field of 6,121 entries (4,868 unique entries + 1,253 re-entries) to create a staggering prize pool worth $1,224,200 with the top 1,106 finishers making it in the money.

Among Indian challengers, ‘star.pkr95’ made the deepest run and finished 106th for $1,045.83 (~₹67,851).

Netherlands based Jans “Grafftekkel” Arends topped the star-studded field and defeated Swedish star Johannes “Greenstone25” Korsar heads-up to scoop $69,662 in prize money.
