Sunday, February 18 was another BIG day in the domestic online poker world with the PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) Spring’18 Edition wrapping up another grand series. As has been the norm, lakhs in prizes were awarded to poker players as sites like PokerBaazi and Adda52 hosted their weekly extravaganzas.

One man who stole the show this Sunday was Vishakhapatnam’s Manoj ’killbill’ Pentakota. He took down the PPL Spring’18 Edition’s ₹1 Crore GTD Main Event for a massive ₹28.23 lakhs payday!

There was certainly a huge bang at India’s most trusted poker site PokerBaazi this past week with the final day witnessing high-octane action. As expected the series attracted some of the best players in the business resulting in huge turnouts. Apart from Pentakota, other large scores went to ‘kris81n’ who shipped the ₹1 Lakh GTD RE event for ₹29,920, ‘superchor89’ who took down the ₹3 Lakhs GTD Deepstack Turbo RE for ₹60,750, Acesheart’ who won the ₹25 Lakhs GTD RE for ₹4.87 lakhs, ‘pokerscientist’ who emerged victorious in the ₹10 Lakhs GTD event for ₹2 lakhs and finally ‘kallolbecs’, who shipped the concluding Hangover ₹2 lakhs GTD RE event for ₹52,580.

Over to India’s largest poker site Adda52 that hosted its highest value events this past Sunday and crowned two big winners. Sandeep ‘thak’ Thakral defeated Young Gun Sahil ‘Bhaijiii’ Agarwal heads-up to take down Adda52 Millions pocketing ₹7.5 lakhs and Harsh ‘Dembla’ Dembla shipped the Adda52 Sunday Suits to bank ₹2.70 lakhs top prize after conquering the heads-up battle against Sajjan ‘SAJJAN0007’ Kumar

Meanwhile, world’s largest poker site PokerStars’ Sunday Million once again drew mammoth turnouts and among our Indian challengers, ‘cs5612’ made the deepest run and won $1,229.76 after finishing 58th. India’s sole Team PokerStars pro Aditya ‘Adi Agarwal’ Agarwal returned to online felts this Sunday after a long halt and cashed $888.18 for his 129th place finish.

 

PokerBaazi Premier League Spring’18 Edition

Main Event

The event that everybody had their eyes on was the big ticket Main Event which boasted of a humongous ₹1 crore guarantee! 471 players came to the felts with an additional 253 re-entries. After, eight and a half hours, Manoj ‘killbill’ Pentakota defeated ‘schemer’ heads up for a life-changing ₹28.23 lakhs. Runner-up finisher Siddharth ‘schemer’ Karia received ₹16.01 lakhs for his efforts. The final table also featured names like Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo (5th place), Siddharth ‘sidddhu’ Mundada (6th place) and Sameer ‘Killersam’ Tavanandi (8th place).

Event 37: 1 Lakh GTD RE

The ₹1 lakh guaranteed Re-entry event roped in a total of 129 hopefuls and dominating them all was ‘kris81n’ who crushed ‘griezmann’ in the heads-up battle to walk away with ₹29,920.

 

Event 38: 3 Lakhs GTD Deepstack Turbo RE

The ₹3 lakhs guaranteed Deepstack Turbo Re-entry Event was next in line and registerd a field of 164 entries. Heads up play saw ‘superchor89’ and Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved battling it out, and when the play got over, the former emerged on top, pocketing ₹60,750 for his efforts.

 

Event 40: 25 Lakhs GTD RE

Event #40 featured a hefty ₹25 lakhs in guaranteed prize pool and registered a strong field of 208 players. At the end of the day, it was ‘Acesheart’ who defeated Siddharth ‘sidddhu’ Mundada heads up for ₹4.87 lakhs. Sidddhu on the other hand collected ₹3.62 lakhs for his efforts. Notably, India`s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya ‘gangajal’ Sushant finished seventh for ₹81,250.

Event #41 of PPL guaranteed ₹10 lakhs in prize money and after the last hand was dealt, it was ‘pokerscientist’ who pocketed the ₹2 lakhs top prize for defeating Wilson ‘kalingkaling’ Yomso who banked ₹1.47 lakhs for his runner-up finish. PokerBaazi pro Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal made a deep run in the event picking up ₹1.10 lakhs for his third-place finish.

The trademark Hangover Event concluded the PPL, and featured a guaranteed ₹2 lakhs in prize money. The event was shipped by ‘kallolbecs’ who defeated ‘floatfish’ in the heads-up battle pocketing ₹52,580 for his efforts.

 

Adda52 Millions

The biggest event of Adda52, this past Sunday was the ₹20 lakhs GTD Adda52 Millions, which once again went on to become a grand success with a strong field of 192 entries. The last man standing was Sandeep ‘thak’ Thakral, who defeated Young Gun Sahil ‘Bhaijiii’ Agarwal heads-up to bank the ₹7.5 lakhs top prize. A total of 15 players made it in the money for a min-cash of at least ₹25,000.

In the final hand of the event, Agarwal’s were up against Thakral’s . The board read and Thakral took down the title.

Sunday Suits – Adda52

The week’s Sunday Suits found a champion in Harsh ‘Dembla’ Dembla who outlasted a strong field of 257 entries to bank the ₹2.70 lakhs top prize after defeating Sajjan ‘SAJJAN0007’ Kumar heads-up. Kumar settled for ₹1.70 lakhs for his finish. The event paid out the top 18 spots with the min-cash being ₹10,000.

In the final hand of the tournament, Kumar shoved holding and Dembla snap-called with . Dembla hit a set on the board to take top honors.

PokerStars Sunday Million

The weeks biggest online tournament PokerStars i.e. ‘$215 Sunday Million, $1M GTD – PSPC Sunday Tournament’ closed out another successful event and saw a field of 6,117 entries (4,914 unique entries + 1,203 re-entries) that generated a mammoth $1,223,400 prize pool with the top 1,106 places getting paid. Romania’s ‘joker180785’ topped them all to win $148,775 following a heads-up deal with Brazil’s ‘dennysramos2’ who collected $132,299 for his efforts.

Among our Indian challengers, ‘cs5612’ made the deepest run and cashed $1,229.76 for his 58th place finish. Notably, Team PokerStars pro Aditya ‘Adi Agarwal’ Agarwal was seen back in action after a long halt and cashed $888.18 for his 129th place finish.

Only two other Indians made money this week in the Sunday Million i.e. ‘checkm@te’ and ‘Humkaapna’. checkm@te made $754.83 for his 242nd place finish while Humkaapna banked $545.26 from his 497th place finish.
