The second-last bracelet event, before the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table due in November, took place with the 2015/16 WSOP Global Casino Championship, which was part of the WSOP Circuit’s newly extended international stops, crowning a champion. Fittingly, an international player, Said El Yousfi (cover image) collected the title for a winning sum of $343,256 and his second piece of WSOP jewelry.

Yousfi made a double bonanza, as he wound his way into this event via a Casino Championship at Casino de Marrakech in Morocco. The WSOP Global Casino Championship features qualifiers for those who have won WSOP Circuit Main Events or collected enough points across various stops to make the cut. Players can also buy in directly for $10,000, provided they match the required specifications. This buy-in is rake-free and added to the guaranteed $1 million prize pool for the event.

The event drew 126 players generating a prize pool of $1,260,000, with the top 19 finishers making the money and some of these included Jon Turner, circuit cashes record-holder Doug “Rico” Carli, Justin Zaki, Jesse Martin, and Alex Rocha, all who exited before the final table.
