A busy series of live poker tournaments in Goa kicked off on Thursday with the PokerGuru Tour Season 2 – INR 5k freezeout event. The tournament saw the biggest turnout in months at the Casino Royale poker room with 76 players entering the fray. After more than seven hours of high-octane Texas Holdem, it was PokerGuru Team Mentor Ramandeep Singh Gujral who won the tournament cashing in INR 150,000. Gujral beat Prabhat Mukherjea when his ‘big slick’
crushed Mukherjea’s
with nothing to show on the board

. Mukherjea pocketed INR 80,000 for the second prize. The two big-stacked players fought it out for more than an hour, before Gujral won the title. In the final hand, Gujral opened with 8k on the button. Mukherjea re-raised it to 20K, which Raman 4-bets to 38K. Not to be deterred by the action, Prabhat 5-bets all-in for a total of 170K, and is snap called by Gujral who finally manages to get the tournament elephant off his back with his 1st live score.
The final table was set with eight remaining players, who were all in the money. The following was the chip stacks at the beginning of the final table:
