PokerStars MicroMillions 8 Returns from July 17-27

Good news for all micro stake tournament players, online giant PokerStars is coming back to host the eighth instalment of its popular tournament series, the MicroMillions. As the name suggest, the series is touted to deliver millions in prize money with very low or micro buy-ins giving micro-stakes players the opportunity to win spectacular cash prizes.

Mark your calendars from July 17-27 as the series will run for 11 days and feature 100 events with $5 million in guaranteed prize pool. Buy-ins starts from as low as $0.11, making MicroMillions the tournament series everyone can afford to play.

Members will need a PokerStars account to join this promotion.

The series will kick off on July 17 with the $0.11 No-Limit Hold’em Hyper-Active Rebuy tournament that guarantees $20,000. The biggest draw of the series i.e. $22 NL Hold’em Main Event of the series will be held on July 27 and boasts of a $1 million guarantee with at least $100K set aside for the eventual winner.

A host of other tournaments are included in the eleven-day schedule with a wide variety of formats like turbos, rebuys, shootouts, knockouts, and big ante events. Players can choose from events ranging from $0.11 to $22 with most of the events being no-limit hold’em, alongside several other formats like pot-limit Omaha, Omaha hi-low, draw, and stud.

MicroMillions will also offer a “Player of the Series” where top 100 places will be paid and the winner gets an amazing prize – 26 weeks of $215 Sunday Million tickets!

That`s not all! The series also features a cool MicroMillions Challenge which members can opt-in for, using Star Code ‘MM8’. Members need to complete the challenge by playing six or more MicroMillions events, to receive a ticket for an All-in Shootout where they can win a cash prize in a matter of minutes.

The first ever MicroMillions festival was held in March 2012 that created a total of $1,081,300 prize pool. The seventh edition of this popular series was held from March 13-23, 2014 and pulled in an incredible 1,400,616 entrants and paid out $8,556,062 in prizes with the main event alone bringing in 63,000 players. UK`s ‘RainmanRJA’ won the main event championship title earlier this year for a whooping $78,000!
