The inaugural PokerStars Championship Macau is set to kick-off on March 30 and will run till April 9. This will be the first-ever global PokerStars-sponsored event hosted in the stunning City of Dreams complex in Macau. The schedule consists of 52 events providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to players to prove their mettle and grab the chance to win a title and the bragging rights at the first PokerStars Championship event ever held on the Eastern Hemisphere.

Players will most definitely look forward to the high value events like the HK$2,000,000 guaranteed HK$8,800 PokerStars National Championship and HK$1,000,000 guaranteed HK$5,500 PokerStars Asia Open along with the highlight event i.e. HK$42,400 PokerStars Championship Main Event

Indian Contingent will make their presence felt too in the series with renowned pro’s namely Team PokerStars Pro Aditya Agarwal, Kunal Patni, Raghav Bansal, Sumit Sapra, Paawan Bansal and Sahil Chutani in attendance. Samay Parikh may also join the series but wasn’t sure when we checked.

India’s most renowned poker player and country’s sole Team PokerStars Pro Aditya Agarwal shared his plans and views stating – “I plan to reach by Sunday morning so I can play the PokerStars Sunday Million Anniversary tournament from Macau, will be a long Sunday and will then play the PokerStars Championship Main Event on Tuesday.

This is the first time such a big global event is happening in Macau, besides this being first of its kind we have had mostly Asian dominated tours and regional tours hosting their bigger tournaments in Macau, so PokerStars Championship should really bring people for far and beyond along with all the local regulars to make it one of the biggest events ever in Asia!”

PokerGuru also spoke to Sumit Sapra who said, “Going on my own, Sahil Chutani and Raghav Bansal will be there too. But it’s a short trip for me as one of my cousins is getting married on 4th April so I need to be back on the 4th. Playing 3 events of buy-in HK$3300, HK$5500 and the HK$8800 events i.e. Event numbers 4, 6 and 17. Might go to Rozvadov for the WSOPC after Macau”
