PGT Season 2 kicked off with the INR 5K Freeze-out tournament onboard the floating Casino Royale in Panjim (Goa). An impressive 70 players swarmed the Royale card room to get a piece of the action along with a shot at some points towards the INR 12 Lacs, PGT Season 2 - Player of the Year (POY) leaderboard prize.
Notables in attendance included Team PokerGuru Mentors Aditya 'Intervention' Agarwal, Rohit Bhalla and Ramandeep Singh Gujral alongside Team Pros Amit Varma and Pulkit Kalia. Tournament Regulars came out in good numbers though quite a few were missing and are expected to join the series over the weekend for the INR 25K Main Event on Saturday i.e. 11th February. 70 registrations ensured that the prizepool guarantees were easily crushed with the following payouts:
1st place - 120,000 INR + PokerGuru Silver trophy.
2nd place - 75,000 INR
3rd place - 55,000 INR
4th place - 40,000 INR
5th place - 30,000 INR
6th place - 20,000 INR
7th place - 10,000 INR.
Goa regular Prabhat Mukherjea was one of the early chipleaders but got taken over by Hussain Lakdawala and Mitul Mehta, and trailing them closely was Intervention. With 11 players left Naresh Virawali, Intervention and Shawn Chatterton were leading the pack towards the money bubble.

failed to improve against Naresh`s 
on the board of 



.Laveena the last lady remaining in the tournament had a swingy final table herself when she won a monster pot in a 3 way showdown with 
, eliminating Alexey to take the chip lead but hit the rails soon afterwards. With the short stacked Husain gone it was heads-up between Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal and Naresh Veeravalli for the title.

After a swingy heads-up duel which saw both Intervention and Naresh exchange chip lead every hand, we finally had a Champion. In the final hand of the tournament, Intervention moved allin from the button with 110,000 chips and saw Naresh making the call instantly.
