The MPC 23 is now into its 7th day with six events over and the first entry-flight Day 1A of the Red Dragon starting on Sat, Sept 5. Events 4,5 and 6 are over and Event 7 is currently underway today.

It’s been a great start for Team India and in these past few days, we have two more cashes by Indians. Both were in Event 5 – $1,500 NLH, where Abbasali Saleem Hararwala made a 3rd place for HK $24,340 and Srinivasa Narayanasamy finished in 10th place for HK $4,601.

Team India has some familiar faces joining in with Team Thrill Pros – Dhaval Mudgal, Shravan Chhabria, Haresh “Kavish” Kukreja, Jasven Saigal and Danish Shaikh along with Kolkata`s Shawn Chatterton and Mayank Agarwak reaching the “Vegas of the East” today, in pursuit of the Red Dragon title.

Both, Mayank and Shawn recently took part in the IPC Aug edition, where Shawn Chatterton finished 22nd in the Main Event. Mayank got unlucky and bubbled the final table of the High Roller event. Both these players will certainly be seeking to improve on that at the MPC.

Among those who have reached Macau, the excitement was palpable on Facebook, with players posting updates,

Dhaval: “Headed to Macau tonight for the Red Dragon! Macau, let’s you and I become famous friends! #‎TeamThrill#‎Dragonslaying

Shravan: “Touchdown Macau for the red dragon Teamthrill.”

Kavish: “Landed Macau for the MPC Red Dragon. Looking forward to a great series. “

Danish: “Keep it simple slay the dragon #‎TeamThrill

Others expected to join them in time for the Red Dragon Main Event, include Team PokerStars Pro Aditya Agarwal, and Adda52 Team Spades Pros Amit Jain and Aditya Sushant.

In other big news from Macau, PokerStars has recently added two new team pros from Asia and both of those – Chen-An Lin from Taiwan and Yaxi Zhu from China, will be joining the MPC 23 and will be at the series sporting the famous PokerStars red patch.
