Sim Jailal (cover image) became the second woman to win an IPC title, with the 15K Bounty for ₹4,25,000, as well as an additional ₹70,000 for 14 bounties. Yesha Punjabi was the first to claim an IPC title in the October Edition last year, where she won a bounty event the 8K Headhunter! The trend of newcomers making the top places continued in this event, with only known face Aditya Sushant making a sixth place finish for ₹80,000, despite playing a valiant game throughout.

The Amsterdam-based winner told PokerGuru, “It feels nice, its my first time playing poker in India. I have won tournaments abroad for bigger prize money but this is my first trophy win. I am feeling good.

The event was stacked with notables, such as Team Spartan Pro Sangeeth ‘samoh’ Mohan, Spartan Team Mentor Rohit Bhalla, 10k Kickoff champion Sahil Chutani, Jasven Saigal, Kanishka Samant, Ankur Dewani, Danish Shaikh, Abhishek Jalan, Vidwath Shetty and Sumit Sapra among many others. In all, a player-crowd of 211 signed up for the event.

Within less than an hour, several players like Sharad Rao, Krishna SM, Jasven Saigal and Rohit Bhalla were eliminated. Zarvan Tumboli, Dhaval Mudgal, Kunal Patni, and B Bansal all exited before 10 pm.

Aditya Sushant could be seen collecting bounties, he first eliminated Amar Reddy and then about an hour later, he busted Gaurav Kalra and Abbas Ali.

By midnight, there were just 45 players left and only 22 of those were set to make the money. Jailal was the sole lady among these and could be seen taking bounties of her own, one being Vardhan Ketkar.

With Vivek Kajaria exiting at 27th place, Sangeeth Mohan at 26th, Akash Malik at 25th and Gautam Sachdeva at 24th place, the countdown began for the money bubble.

This fell upon Nisarg Parekh, who was busted by Sidharth S and Parekh exited at 23rd place. Sushant was leading the chip counts by this time with Jailal and Jeeran Jain trailing in second and third places.

An hour and half later a nine-handed final table was set, after Jailal eliminated Jaswant Kumar in tenth place. At this point the lady had raced ahead and had a huge chip advantage with 485K and the nearest competitor Noam Fater having less than half with 221K.
